JOB TITLE: Senior Marketing and Innovation Manager

PURPOSE:
This role combines strategic marketing expertise with innovation leadership to drive demand generation, brand awareness, and the successful commercialization of new services and solutions. The incumbent will play a critical role in developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies, identifying new market opportunities, and translating technical capabilities into compelling business narratives for enterprise customers, tech audiences, partners, and decision-makers. Additionally, this role involves close collaboration with technology and engineering teams to develop business cases, oversee market analysis, and create sound business models that support innovation and growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technology & Innovation Strategy:
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies in AI, data analytics, cloud computing, and enterprise software to identify new business opportunities.
- Work closely with engineering teams to assess and define the technical feasibility of new services and innovations.
- Support new service development from ideation through commercialization by conducting market analysis, defining business cases, and identifying opportunities.
- Develop business models and commercialization strategies that align with both technical feasibility and market demand.
- Lead technical evaluations to identify unique strengths, compare with competitor offerings, and define key differentiators for effective market positioning.
- Marketing Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for software, data, AI-driven services, and emerging technology solutions.
- Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns leveraging digital, content, ABM, and event-based strategies.
- Define and drive market positioning, messaging, and value propositions tailored to different buyer personas.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify new opportunities and areas for differentiation.
- Content & Thought Leadership:
- Develop high-quality marketing collateral, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, and presentations that effectively communicate technical value.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create educational and thought leadership content around AI, data analytics, and software innovations.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and translate emerging technologies into marketable insights and campaigns.
- Demand Generation & Growth Marketing:
- Implement account-based marketing (ABM) strategies to engage high-value enterprise customers.
- Analyze market data and develop recommendations from incomplete or emerging data sets to define business cases and value propositions.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Optimize marketing performance through data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics tools to track KPIs and campaign effectiveness.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Technology Partnerships:
- Work closely with domain experts and engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy in marketing materials.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop sales enablement tools, pitch decks, and training resources.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to successfully commercialize new services and to translate technical capabilities into market-ready solutions.
- Manage relationships with external agencies, partners, and vendors to scale marketing initiatives.
- Identify and build strategic technology partnerships to enhance offerings and drive innovation-led growth.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must-Have:
- 10+ years of experience in B2B technology marketing, innovation, or new service development in the software, data & analytics, or AI industry.
- Strong technical understanding of AI, data platforms, cloud technologies, and enterprise software.
- Experience working with engineering and product teams to bridge technical and business objectives.
- Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies for complex technology solutions.
- Accomplished at developing value propositions and business models for emerging technologies.
- Ability to write marketing and sales collateral for technology services that accurately convey technical depth.
- Hands-on experience with digital marketing, content strategy, and branding in a technology-driven environment.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills to translate complex topics into compelling narratives.
- Independent and Reliable: Thrives in a minimally structured and virtual work environment. Comfortable outside of a traditional, staffed office space.
- Experience with marketing automation tools, CRM, and analytics platforms.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to measure, optimize, and report on marketing performance.
- • MBA or technical degree (Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering).
- Preferred:
- Experience marketing to C-level executives, IT decision-makers, and technical buyers.
- Background in AI, data science, machine learning, or cloud computing marketing.
- Familiarity with partner marketing and engaging partnership communities.
- Experience designing and overseeing marketing campaigns supporting technology services.
